Message: "Leone" - Behind the Name

What do you think of this name, pronounced lee-OH-nee. 1-10? What about the spelling Leonie? Maybe one could pronounce it more like LAY-oh-nee. It is sort of like the way different people pronounce "peony."

Is Leone dowdy or cute? I can't really decide.

With that spelling I'm just reminded of Sergio Leone and Sierra Leone, but Leonie is nice. I have a friend who spells it Léonie, pr. lay-o-nee - she doesn't like the other pronunciation, and neither do I much.

It doesn't seem dowdy to me. Although looking at it I assumed it was the French name Léone.
I prefer Léonie, it seems more feminine.

I love Leona. Leonie and Leone are nice ones too. Leone makes me think of Sierra Leone.

Leone is cute and if I had to rate it I would probably give it a 7. Leona on the toher hand would be a 9 or a 10.

I think it's pretty with either pronunciation, but I prefer the spelling Leonie. I'd give it a 5.
