I wouldn't mind Obadiah, spelled that way. Obidiah is an incorrect spelling. They sound the same, so not too big a deal, it's just annoying. There's no reason to change the spelling. But I think that Obadiah is a cool name.
I agree about Ty. It should not be a full name on its own. It should be a nickname for something. Ty on its own is pathetic.
And I also agree that Nathan and Nathaniel are way too similar to be used as middle names for siblings.
