My DH, his elder sister and both his brothers all got 2 given names, but my sister-in-law Jean didn't. No idea why. I like the name very much, and Jean Elspeth or Jean Matilda or Jean Rosamond would be lovely. I was at school with a Jean Elizabeth, which is also good (and was my MIL's middle name. No clue why they didn't use it.)Can't help smiling at Jean Tacita! My SIL talks non-stop, probably also in her sleep.

I like it. It's got a nice Scottish no-nonsense feel about it. I have a friend who recently named her daughter Jeanie, and she is very cute.Of your combos, I love Jean Muriel! And Jean Rosalie seems to work well for me too.

Oh, yes! Jean is one of my favorite names for a girl. It is so sweet and simple and makes me hear bagpipes. :-) And the nn Jeanie is so cute. I considered using Jean for a girl years ago. It's refreshing to see Jean as a fn. As a mn it's tired and almost depressing to me. Of your combos, my favorites are:Jean Cecily
Jean Clarimonde (I don't know why, but this one really works for me, against the odds)
Jean Elinor / Eleanor
Jean Elspeth
Jean Imelda
Jean Isobel
Jean Lilias
Jean Rosalind
Jean Susanna / Susannah
Jean WinifredYou can't see it just now, but I'm clapping with my feet. :-)

Jean Isadora
Jean Matilda
Jean Melisande -- Wow! I love this.
Jean Millicent -- And this.
Jean Octavia

It's alright, but a boys name in France and one that seems quite dated at that even though you could say it's a classic. It's like the typical French guy's name. I'm half French and it always makes me think of a guy holding a baguette, maybe because there was a guy named Jean pictured like that in one of my French books. So I never liked it that much on either gender.I love Jeanne, though, with the French pronunciation.Oh and I love Joan and Jane is quite sweet.

I like it, though it is a touch too dull for my list. I love Jeannie more. I'd be more likely to opt for Jane, but I have had back luck with people named Jane in my life, so that is also out.Jean Abigail
Jean Araminta
Jean Aurelia
Jean Caroline
Jean Cecily
Jean Dorothy
Jean Eleanor
Jean Elinor
Jean Elspeth
Jean Emmeline
Jean Estella*
Jean Harriet
Jean Isidora
Jean Isobel*
Jean Lavender
(Jean Marguerite) Jeanne Marguerite
Jean Matilda
Jean Penelope
Jean Rosalie
Jean Silvia
Jean Susannah
Jean Winifred
