[Opinions] Bracken
Could Bracken be used as a middle name? It would kind of be an honouring name.
Do you think Bracken is masculine or more feminine?
What first names would you pair with the middle name Bracken?
Thank you.

To my mind it's canine! But as plants go, it's more spunky than Fern. As you suggest, it's pretty unisex, so it would need an unambiguous fn: ; Angela Bracken; Valeria Bracken; Albert Bracken; Victor Bracken
Who are you honoring, someone very fond of coastal marsh? Or someone whose name means "from the sea" etc.. ? I would consider it more masculine, unless you were trying to revolt against purity meanings for female names. For first names I suppose I would go for a oxymoron ie Jasper Bracken, contradiction ie Zacchaeus Bracken, or imagery ie Douglas Bracken.
masculine but i don't realy love the sound of it...
I don't really like it. If it is used at all it should be a middle name and only because it is honouring but not a girl name at all.
I think it could make a middle name, especially if it's honoring. I'm not totally opposed to obscure nature names, and in many cases think they're kind of neat. The only problem with this one is that it looks like it would be a trendy name. I think it would be cool paired with a nice classic, masculine name. Or something Scottish.

Phew! I'm glad when I read it it said "mn"! Because I strongly dislike it, the spelling and the sound. It helps that's it's honoring, that's a plus! I think it's definitely a masculine name, without a doubt. I would cringe even more if I saw it on a girl.
