[Opinions] Fiona & Combos
WDYTO Fiona? Do you like the nickname Fi (pro. Fee)? Do you think it needs a nickname? Any Combos? My husband and I are all for this name, being both his grandmother's and my late mother's name, but was have no idea what to do with it. By the way the last name is Rossi.

I'm really liking it lately...And if it honours family I would definitely use it! Fi is a cute nn and so if Fifi. Fiona Rossi sounds fantastic :)

I feel okay about Fiona. It's a nice enough name but not really my style. However, I LOVE honoring names and with a double honoring opportunity like that, I'd definitely say use it! Fiona Rossi is a nice name. I don't think it needs a nickname, but if you want to use one, I like Nona best. Fi is okay, but dangerously close to Fifi which IMO is awful. As for combos, I think it needs a mn that doesn't start with a non-accented vowel (so no Fiona Alice or Fiona Ellen) -- it doesn't flow well. I also can't think of many names that end in A that would sound awesome. A few nice-sounding ones off the top of my head -- no idea if these mns are your style or not:Fiona Catherine
Fiona Margaret
Fiona Penelope
Fiona Valentine
Fiona Claire
Fiona Grey
Fiona Harper
Fiona Tamsin
Fiona Isobel
Fiona Maddox

I adore Fiona. It's so sweet and gentle. Fi is an alright nn, but I much prefer Fia if any nn at all. I've had loads of trouble trying to make nice combos with Fiona, but my favorites have been Fiona Claire and Fiona Rosemary.

I've been liking Fiona more and more. I'm surprised it didn't get more popular after the Shrek movies. It used to sound to stuffy for me, but I'm liking it now. I don't know about the nn Fi, though.
