[Opinions] Mykel or Mykell?
What do you think of Mykel or Mykell for a girl? Nicknames would be Kellie or Mike; MN after MIL Elizabeth. MyKel and MyKell are also possibilities.Mykel Elizabeth
Mykell Elizabeth
Mykel Elisabeth
Mykell ElisabethIs there a reason for any spelling/combo over another?

What's wrong with Michelle? To me, it looks like a kre8v spelling for Michael.

We really want it to shorten to Kellie, and Michelle doesn't. We also want it to be femanine, and using the traditional boy's spelling doesn't give that aspect to it.

Is that suppose to be a feminine version of Michael? If so...Michaela, Makayla or Michelle make so much more sense. Mykell/Mykel/MyKell/MyKel just looks silly.

While those make more sense on their own, we want Kellie for a nickname, not Kayla or Shelly. From that standpoint, your suggestions don't work so well.

You could always use just Kelly...

Mykel. I'm not a fan of the double l (although Mykelle might make it look more feminine.) I don't really like either, but if I had to use it I'd spell it Mykel.Elizabeth fits better than Elisabeth with this name.

Oooo... I hadn't even thought of Mykelle!

Ouch! Michele or Michelle Elizabeth: excellent. Micaela or Michaela Elizabeth, getting dated but still fine. But Mykell ... ? OK, you ask if there's a reason for one combo over another: what is the reason for Mykell?

Elizabeth / Elisabeth is gorgeous! But, Mykel etc., I have to be honest, it's awful. I dislike all the spelling's, and I strongly dislike the use of a boy's name on a girl. Leave Michael as it is. If you want it to be feminine, then use a feminine name. How about Michal, pronounced MEE-khal? The 'khal' part is pron. like "kel', and the nn Kellie definately works

Neither. They are both trendy, made up and plain ugly.
I get that you want to use Kellie as a nn, but I would still use Michelle and use Kellie as a nn, or use another name. Maybe Rachel, Kelsey, Rakel or Kelda and Kellie as a nn? And I prefer Elisabeth over Elizabeth.

I find both really unattractive and unfeminine, but Mykel is at least less fussy. If you want Kellie as a nn,I think Michaela or Michela would be much nicer, or as Domestic Engineer suggested you could use Kellie or Kelly as a full name.

Honestly, I think it is very unattractive. Adding the Y doesnt make it look feminine, it makes it look butchered. Michael is currently the number 2 most popular baby boys name. Think about how your daughter will feel having such a common boys name. There are other feminine forms of the name Michael you could use, such as Michaela (pronounced like Mikayla), or you would spell is Mikaela if you prefer. Also there is Michelle.

I don't like it. I don't really like boys names for girls, and I tend not to like made-up spellings either.
If I had to chose, it would probably be Mykel Elizabeth. How about Mikayla instead, there a lots of varient spellings of that. It's much nicer in my opinion. You could still use the nn Mike or Mik too.
Here are some of the varient spellings I've seen around the place;
Michaela
Mikaela
Mackayla
Makayla
Mikeila
