My mum's name is Virginia Louise, so while when I was younger I thought she had quite an unfortunate name, now I think it is classic and dignified and quite pretty. I would seriously consider using it as a middle name. Virginia Caroline is a darling combo, I really like it! I'm thinking something along the line of Lucy Virginia or Alice Virginia. I also love the nn Ginny and mum is also called Ginia, Gin and Ginger by her family.
However I believe the American pronunciation is Virgin-ya, while in Aus (and the UK as far as I know) it is pronounced Virgin-ee-uh, which I must say I greatly prefer.
