Hold on...Didn't you just post this?

I would spell it Grayson. It has always been a guilty pleasure of mine.

The long ay sound plus the -son ending makes it sound rather trendy.

I want to like Greyson, really I do. I'm a bit obsessed with the color gray / grey at the moment. I stopped coloring my hair last October and have a good 2 1/2 to 3 inches of silver roots. The name Griselda (gray haired battle maiden!) keeps running through my head. But I just can't get into Greyson, sorry. Perhaps it's the idea of a "gray son" that sounds odd. Or perhaps it's the disturbingly similar sound to the tryndee Gracen. I don't know. But I'm just not *there* yet. Sorry.

It's not my style. However, if it's a family name, I would think it not too bad on a boy, or as a middle name for a girl. Mostly, it's too popular, and not entirely the type of name I prefer.

I found this name on here, and haven't heard of it before. Maybe it is popular in the US but I thought its something different and unsual here in the UK
