[Opinions] French Project and a Question
Thought I might run these names by y'all. Me and my two partners in class are writing a French oral presentation. We've chosen the names for each other.Cédric (me, the judge)
Michaël (a thief)
and Léa (a pastry shop owner)I am skeptical about Michaël? Is it a valid French name? He would not use Michel. Oh well. Maybe we should just spell it Mikhail.Good names?

Good names. Michaël is a common name indeed, you didn't mention the ages of your characters but most men named Michel are at least in their late thirties, so it might fit better too.

I know two French Michaëls and a Mickaël, so I'm guessing it's a fairly common French name. I like all the names! - good choices.

I like Cédric and Léa. I hadn't seen Michaël before, but I just Googled it, and I found people from France and Belgium named Michaël. I also found people from the Netherlands with the name, and it's listed in the BTN database as Dutch, which indicates that it's probably more common in the Netherlands than in France. I still think that it could work for a French person though. Mikhail strikes me as too Russian for a French presentation. I'd just stick with Michaël.
