Bryony and Jasmine have decided to make their family complete by adopting some children. The oldest two are an older sister and younger brother who were adopted from a poor African nation. The last is a baby girl adopted from Russia.

The little girl is 4 years-old, but she's small for her age. Also, she's suffering some PTSD, and has reverted to acting like a 1 or 2 year-old. The younger brother is almost 2, and is quiet and clings to his sister. Both children lost their parents almost two years ago, and have been living on the fringes most of the time since. It turns out that Sean and Nettie were right to not like Blaze. After Alice got pregnant, he split and won't talk with her at all!
