I like it, in a GP sort of way. I mean, I wouldn't use it. I think too hard about meanings. But I think it's usable. I have run into a couple young Romans on playgrounds, and it's really fine.
Noah is popular enough that the bearded ark captain image fades for me. I knew a Noah in high school, in the 80s, and it seemed cool.
Deacon, to me at least, is too much of a word. It's not awful though - I could call a kid Deacon without feeling like it sounded dumb. It's namey enough.
