[Opinions] Mickolas
I have a friend whose husband is from a Greek family, originally. They named their first son Max and I just learned that they named their second baby Mickolas.I looked it up and can't find a Greek name such as Mickolas, though I think there is a Hungarian version.Maybe it's something like a tribute to a Michael and Nicholas.
I guess they are calling him Mick as a nickname. What do you think of it?

That is strange. It looks like a creative spelling of the Czech name, Mikolas.

It's silly. Trying to hard imo, and it fails gloriously. And Max and Mickolas sound ridiculous together, do not match or go together at all.

I see Nicholas and Mickey Mouse. Forgive me, mother of a toddler. ;)

Max is cute, but Mickolas, ick. Is is pronounced like Nikolas?

I actually like it. I think it looks and sounds legit though admittedly it will probably be confused with Nickolas more than once. Reminds me a bit of Mikkel which could be a cool nickname.

it looks silly, like someone made a typo on the birth certificate

I don't like it at all. The poor kid will be called Nicholas all his life.
