Personally, I wouldn't want to be called Cal but I guess it could work for some girls though I think both Callie and Cal are a bit of a stretch. I think Carrie is a sweet nickname for Caroline and the one I would want if I lived in an English speaking country. My mom always called Lina (lih-na) when I was little and I was occasionally called Caro in school, which I don't like at all.
