[Opinions] Re: WDYTO Leon?
I like Leon (people don't really think Trotsky when they hear it, do they?), I think it's a lot better than Leo!!! Leo has a NN feel to it (and is tied to DiCaprio now), but Leon is a real name that works on many different levels.
Maybe
Leon Andrew
Leon Arthur
Leon Konrad / Conrad
Leon Curtis
Leon Darren
Leon Declan
Leon Franklin
Leon Howard
Leon Martin
Leon Patrick
Leon Russell
Leon Samuel
Leon Sebastian
Leon SpencerJack Rowan sounds ok, but I can't say I like it. Jack is a NN, I really prefer John as the given name. Jack Alexander I don't like at all.Jaspa is an unknown name to me, and I don't go for it. Sounds like someone yawning. Sort of made up warning too.

TrotskyI think of Trotsky, but only after I think of anarchist assassin Leon Czolgosz. I don't have the best historical associations with this name, apparently.Similarly, when people ask questions about the use of Lennon as a first name I usually picture myself mistaking hearing it in real life as Lenin. :-)

Well... I think of Trotsky too, that's why I wrote it, but I don't think SO much of Trotsky that it rules out using the name. And in all fairness, Trotsky is a better association than Leon Czolgosz!
Funnily, my husband cannot hear a difference between Lennon and Lenin, it must be the American pronounciation that does it. Regardless I don't think Lennon should be used as a first name, but I shouldn't highjack this thread to rant about that.
