Love it actually.
Under used these days.My favourite guitarist is George Ryan Ross.
Also, I like the George Harrison association.

One of my least favorite names. The sound of it bothers me.

I really like it, especially with the nn Jory (which is the Cornish nn for George)

I don't like it at all. It's very old-mannish, very heavy, and I don't like most Geo- names, like Geoffrey. Even though I normally prefer traditional spellings, if I had to use George, I'd spell it Jorje, because that's a more attractive spelling to me and then I could call him Jory.

My favorite boy name. Here's what I love about it:- declining in popularity (and I hope it stays that way!)
- timeless classic
- strong, crisp sound
- ages well (adorable on a baby, cool on a teenager, and respectable on a grown man)
- fits all sorts of personalities ( i.e. I can picture George as a lawyer/doctor, or a quirky artsy type)
- It evokes a kind, fun loving guy

I like it. It's really cute for a little boy, but also handsome and regal sounding for an adult.

LoveIt's so compact and cute and grown up, which would make it adorable on a little one and perfectly acceptable on a man. I love names that work that way, which is probably why I like so many "old man" names. I also like the pet form "Geo". When I worked in the archives, there were so many Georges, Williams, Jamses, etc, that the original writers had set abbreviations: Geo, Wim, and Jas.
