Message: "Zeph / Zephyr" - Behind the Name

I just watched the movie "In the name of the King" where a small boys name is Zeph. I loved it from the first second but it also maked me think of Zephyr.

What do you think about Zeph and Zephyr? Can Zeph stand on its own or does it have to be a nickname?

I think it's quite insubstantial. I love Zephyr / Zephyrin, but it would make a great nickname for Joseph.

I prefer Zephaniah nn Zeph, but I think it can stand on its own.
