I love the look of Melody and its meaning. I also like its relative freshness. My reluctance to being totally won over by Melody is that it may be perceived as a hippy, unrefined, unintellectual name. I'd rate it 7/10 and would be much more likely to go with the similar yet more elegant Melanie. Still, I'd be truly happy to see either on a young girl.
