I think it's cute. I wouldn't be too surprised if it started being used more. There's something sort of postmodern about it.
I never thought about it until a few days ago when I was taking a walk with one of my friends and we passed a fattish and very scowly toddler with a bow in her hair, riding in a car. "Look at thattoddler," I said. "Yes," said Trey. "I shall call her Plum." It was perfect oh my it was perfect!
