Afia is nice. But I'm not sure if I'm pronouncing it correctly. Do you know if it's "ah-FEE-uh" or "AH-fee-uh," or some other way?
Afia reminds me of Aina, "EYE-nuh." I forgot it's meaning, but I think it's one of those negative meanings designed to confuse evil spirits. I love African meanings. If they're not trying to confuse evil beings, then they are telling us something about the birth, like Afia. Fun.
I have a small section on my long list for African names. I'm always looking for more and I'll definitely add this one. Thanks!
