I think Agnes is a sweet name. It's one of those names I like to see others use but wouldn't use myself. It's quite popular here though, it was #14 last year. By the way, the way it is pronounced here, there is no G sound in Agnes. It's ahng-nes. I don't care for the English pronunciation, I think it sounds very harsh, but I don't hate it.
