Geneva's meh. It too sounds rather old. I'd just stick with Eva.

I adore Sylvia! If it were me, I'd use the spelling Silvia, though. I think one way to make it more appropriate for a little girl is the nickname Sylvie.

This is ironic because my name is Sylvia and I have a sister named Geneva. I love both names! I think they both work well on all ages.

I prefer Sylvie. Sylvia, new or not, reminds me of saliva.

I would like to see it on a little girl: it's never been popular enough to be associated with a particular age.

If your potential Eva doesn't enjoy her name or is swamped in a class full of other Evas, she could be Jenny if she was Geneva. Might be a good thing! As usual, I would go for the option that offers more options.

I love Sylvia! If you're into nn's I think Sylvie would be so sweet. Sylvia is refreshing in my opinion.

I like Geneva and Eva equally, but I think Geneva would be less likely to become popular.
