[Opinions] WDYT of Rhonda?
I know its terribly dated and out of style at the moment and for that reason I have never paid much attention to it except to chuck it in the same pile as Donna, Debra and Cheryl. But I actually don't mind it. Its quite pretty and I would love to meet a young Rhonda.WDYT?

It sounds too harsh to my ears. I'd rather meet a young Rhoda or Rhona. I find them softer and prettier.

I know a Rhonda in her late 30's. It's hard to picture on a young girl but I always like to hear names like that come back around. There is a three year old Robin (girl) at church and I think that's very sweet.

My mom wanted to name her 1st daughter that.. until her sister used it on her first daughter. I am so glad it was 'stolen' I like my name much better. :D Rhonda is fine though. Just not for me

Honestly, it's one of my least favorite names. I picture a big fat obnoxious woman when I hear it. The kind of person that would scream at the cashier if she thinks there is something wrong with her receipt at the store.

Rhonda is very dated to me. Outside of that, I don't think it sounds very attractive. It reminds me of Sonya (prn SAHN-yuh) in that way.

I just don't care for it but not because it's dated. I don't like the sound of it.Probably this has or will be mentioned by others (I haven't read the other posts yet--I never do before making mine), but all I can think of is The Beach Boys song "Help Me Rhonda." Yet this isn't necessarily a bad thing, since I like that song and I like The Beach Boys in general. I just wonder if a Rhonda would be greeted throughout her life with people singing the song. Yet I don't think such a thing as a song should ruin a name. For instance, I hate when people say about Mercedes, "It's a car." It was a name before it was a car, and I hate that the fact that somebody decided to name the car after his daughter Mercedes should then ruin Mercedes as a name. The same about a song, I should say.I've known two Rhondas. The first one I knew about thirty years ago, she was a little older than I was, so I would say she'd be in her fifties now. The other was a childhood friend of my daughter's. She was about nine years old when I knew her, and would be fairly young, late twenties, now.

It's a nice enough name, but not the kind I'd use.

I think of that 1960s song...
It's OK; better than Brenda imo
