Fourteen years have passed for the Athenopolis family! Ciaran has gotten married! His wife, whose first name is a virtue, middle name is a surname, and maiden name is Russian, was embraced by the entire family. And, Ciaran and his wife are expecting a baby boy! Ciaran, who always hated having to explain how to pronounce his and his siblings’ names, wants his son to have a “normal” name. His wife wants their son’s middle name to be Russian, but it has to sound good with their very Greek surname.

Two years have passed for the Grant family! Gus and Chloe are once again expecting! For conservative parents like James and Alice, Gus and Chloe’s living arrangements are worrying, but they are very excited to be having another granddaughter!

Namenerd Chloe was shocked one day to come home and find Gus surfing the namesites, looking for names for their second daughter. He’d even come up with a list of names that he liked! All of the names at the top of the list were ones she hated, but she loved the ones at the bottom of the list. So, they agreed that their daughter’s first name would be one of the ones they both liked, and, so that Gus wouldn’t feel bad, her middle name would be one of the ones that only he liked. (Basically, fn is a name you love, mn is a name you hate.)

Gwen wants one of the boys’ names to be from one of the Brontë sisters’ novels; Rosie wants a name from the Twilight series; Teddy’s chosen a name from the Percy Jackson books; Prudie wants a name from the Harry Potter series; Lettie wants a nursery rhyme name or Peter (from Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter). Jess and Anna would like the remaining name to be from a classic novel (A Tale of Two Cities, The Three Musketeers, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, etc.)
