[Opinions] Georgina
When I was a kid, I despised this name because I thought it sounded like a crabby old lady. Now, I'm head over heels for it. I think it has the ability to be feminine and ballsy at the same time, if you know what I mean. :)
So, WDYT of Georgina? Can you think of any good combos? Have you ever met anyone with the name?

I've always enjoyed Georgina, but not any other George name really. George is OK but flattish and if I was in Germany I'd prefer Georg, but anywhere else it would generate too many misunderstandings.

I used to not like it, but it has grown on me a bit. I still prefer Georgia though. As for combos, how about Georgina Claire, Georgina Pearl, Georgina Fleur, or Georgina Mary?

Well, I like Georgia, but Georgina still gives me an old-lady vibe.

I like Georgina. Not crazy about it but I like it.
I have known a few. My grandmother used to go to a hairdresser called Georgina. There was a girl in my class called Georgina - her sisters had cool names, one was Esther.
Another girl I was in school with had a sister called Georgina and a girl in the Gem Diploma I just finished is Georgina too - she goes by Gina.

I like it a lot. I went to school with one who's now a paramedic, so I think of Georginas as being very sensible and good in an emergency. Also, she had totally perfect eyebrows. :) Her middle name is Juliet, which is a bit j-heavy for me. I'd prefer Georgina Mary, Georgina Fleur or Georgina Claire.
Love it!!
I adore it, I love it sooo much! BUt for me (alas) there are two reasons why I can never use it..
1) Its so close to Georgia and Georgia is so super popular here (and has been for about 10 years!) And there are still quite a few Georgina's
2) My boyfriend hates it :(

I love Georgina. It took me a little while to come around to it as it does have a feel that's a little too posh for me in general but that also comes with a certain elegance, and I enjoy the nickname Georgie, because of how spunky it is. I'm trying to talk DBF into using this for a girl as an alternative to using George for a boy, as I'm not a huge fan of that, but it honors several things for him.

I love it! It's my favorite feminine George name. I think it's very fresh and fun and upbeat, but it's quite regal at the same time. I love the nickname possibilities too-- Georgie, Gina, and Nina are all great.
Unfortunately I've never found a combo I totally love, and haven't really tried to in months. My old favorites were Georgina Rue and Georgina Violet, for what it's worth.
I've never met a Georgina. Too bad.

I love Georgina! I think it's so lovely. I know a girl in her late 20's by this name. I also have a friend (also in her late 20's) named Georgene.
