[Opinions] British twins
A sad story with a happyish ending: four-year-old twins, put in care because their mother has serious alcohol problems, were snatched by her and for a few days they could not be found. Now they have been, so that's all right. The names of the little brother and sister: Billy Blu and Vixen Rae, ln Francis. (Father is William Francis, mother is Natasha.) Any thoughts?

I'm not a fan of Billy Blu at all (William Blue maybe), but Vixen Rae is so very sad.
At first, Vixen made me think of a fox because that's the proper name for a female fox, but then I thought about how people (at least in the US) use that to refer to a girl who's a tease or acts coy. That's not exactly something I'd label my daughter with. I don't want people thinking that about her as soon as they meet her.I'm glad their safe, but wow, how sad about those names.

While Billy Blu isn't my style, it's a name that I could at least live with. I wouldn't *hate* introducing myself as Billy (that is, if I were male!), though I'd much rather my name be William... Vixen, on the other hand, is a completely different story, for all the reasons mentioned by previous posters. :/Olympia, I kind of like. I think that it works as a substitute for Olivia, and she could always go by Ollie or Pia if it was "too much name". Do you happen to know her middle name, if she has one?Overall, a very, very, very mismatched sibset.

*blushing* (PG)Billy Blu is ok but so not my style. About Vixen... Apart from the English meaning which I would not call very flattering, I'd recommend her to go by Rae if she ever plans to visit Germany. There is a German word "wichsen" pronounced exactly like English "vixen" and it means to jack off.

I don't think that Billy should be used as a full name in its own right. It should be a nickname for William, and even then, I prefer Will. I actually do like Blue, only as a middle name, as in Cher's son Elijah Blue, but I do think that it should have the E at the end. However, the alliteration of Billy and Blu makes the combo sound silly.Vixen is a horrid name. Vixen is a term for a sexually provocative, devious, selfish woman, and as such should not be used as a name. I don't care for Rae. I can well believe the mother has serious alcohol problems, giving her children names such as Vixen and Billy Blu.

Also Natasha Francis' 16 year old daughter from a previous relationship is named Olympia.

With the charming nickname Limp? Dear me. But it is better than Vixen!

They sound as if they were named while "under the influence".
