[Opinions] Rikki
So I like the spelling of 'Rikki' but why does it have to be feminine. I think it should be for both. You can name a boy Rikki and not have people thinking it is short for Richard like Ricky is. I like Rikki as a boy name, what are your opinions??Thanks :)

Seems kinda girly to me... esp. w/ the i ending on a western sounding name. Whatever spelling is used, I like Ricki better on a girl and prefer just Rick on a boy anyway.Of course, if a friend of mine could be just Eddie, your son could be just Ricky. Takes a lot of arguing to convince people it's JUST the nn. sounding name- regardless of spelling- but can be done.

Creative spellings are usually imposed on little girls to distinguish them from the more conventional male nn. That's why Rikki will always be feminine for me, sorry.
