[Opinions] Murray
Murray.
Used to hate it, but I think I'm falling for it now.
Thoughts, opinions, combos, etc?

I have a big soft spot for it. It is a bit of a cuddly old man name, but that's not a bad thing, and I think it could be totally cute on a little boy. Murray George

I think it would be beyond adorable to meet a toddler name Murray. I prefer Murphy just because it is a touch more unusual, but Murray would still be cute as a button on a little one. It has a very appealing air of down-to-earth kindness and warmth.I think I might combo it with something a bit more formal and offbeat, just to keep things interesting:Murray Charleston

Murray Edwin
Murray Beauregard
Murray Cedric
Murray Octavian
Murray Julius
Murray Dorian
Murray Theodore (oh my lord, the epitome of chubby cuteness)

Murray Montgomery - aw!

I met a guy named Murray once who was very nice to me. I was at a youth function in high school with a bunch of kids from different churches in the area, and I didn't know anyone, and I felt really out of place, so I was sitting by myself up in the bleachers away from everyone. And he saw me and came up the bleachers to talk to me, and I was really touched by it, just some random guy not wanting me to be all by myself. I always kind of regretted not getting his email or something; I think he would've been a good friend.Which is really just to illustrate that I like the name! I have a good association with it. And he's the only Murray I've ever met, so I don't have the old-man association some people seem to. He was a year younger than me, I think, so he'd be about 21 now.Murray Addison

It's the last name of this awesome kid I know and I think it's what is drawing me to it. :)(I met a terrible girl name Murphy once so I just can't get on board with that due to a bad association. Good name, but for someone else.)

I don't like it. It makes me think of those fat middle-aged characters so common in the old Far Side comic strip.

I love this name! It's actually #3 on my list for a boy. My favorite combo is Murray Thaddeus.

It's too much of a surname for me. This is the surname of two of my friends. Also the tennis players Andy and Jamie Murray.Burl Murray

Makes be think of the fabolous Timothy McGee in NCIS, played by Sean Murray. I don't like it as a firstname. Maybe as a middlename (to honor someone...) but I think it is a surname.
