Patrizio and I are a young couple living in Florence. Both of us are the children of lower-ranking but wealthy Florentine noblemen who were friends. Our marriage was arranged when we were only six and three, but we have grown up together and have always been friends. The two of us both feel lucky to be marrying one another, since we do love one another, though it is not of a romantic nature.
Where do you live?
We live in Florence, in a beautiful manor in the middle of the city, in the year 1503.

Patrizio is related through marriage to the powerful Medici family. His older sister Alba is married to one of the Medici's sons. This has given us a certain reputation among the people of the city, though both of us are against the things the Medici's do.
