[Opinions] Twins in yearbook
My cousin was showing me her middle-school yearbook the other day, and there are twin girls (8th grade) named: Princess and Queen. I had to roll my eyes at that.Other sets of twins from the same yearbook:
Ian and Joshua "Josh"
Genevieve "Genny" and Elisabeth "Libby"
Sarah and DanielWDYT?

Princess and Queen are not good. Though my DH had a student years ago whose names were Queen Elizabeth and she regularly went by both of them.Ian and Joshua (Josh) are pleasantly energetic.
Genevieve and Elisabeth ... I taught Genevieve and Carissa twins once, Genny and Carry. Not good either. Too long, too frilly, and tritely cute nns.
Sarah and Daniel: I like Daniel a lot and would have used it, given enough sons. Sarah is dowdy and dull.

I absolutely love Sarah and Daniel and Genevieve and Elisabeth. Queen and Princess is horrible. One has a higher rank???

Genevieve and Elisabeth is lovely.

Way to play favorites!Princess and Queen are just terrible, made worse by the fact they're twins! And given the difference in ranks, Princess must feel pretty inferior!Ian and Joshua "Josh" - pretty bland, but I'd rather see this than the first set any day!
Genevieve "Genny" and Elisabeth "Libby" - lovely! they fit together without being matchy
Sarah and Daniel - classics, but boring, I've known a few of these sibsets

To the parents: real nice, guys.And...it's kind of unfair. Queens outrank princesses. =P

Ian and Joshua, Genevieve and Elizabeth, and Sarah and Daniel are all nice and compliment each other well. Princess and Queen is terrible and way over the top.

I'm not even going to comment on the first set but Ian and Joshua are nice. Genevieve "Genny" and Elisabeth "Libby" - This is what I wish people who can't resist matching twin names would do. Genny and Libby on their own is nauseating for twins (disregarding that those are nicknames). Giving them the full names Genevieve and Elisabeth is amazing because they can back out and choose to be called Gen or Beth or their full name and not be forced to deal with "Aww look your names match!" their entire lives. I applaud their parents for giving them that. Sarah and Daniel are a bit plain, but go well together.

TerribleYou can tell which one is mom's favourite! I like the name Queenie as a GP, but Princess and Queen is pretty bad.Genevieve and Elisabeth is really pretty.

Princess must feel inferior to her sister.

I feel sick. Why, why, why? I wonder if the first born was Queen and her younger sister Princess. Poor girls. I tried to come up with nice nicknames but failed.
I like the other sets of twins. At least it seems like the parents realised that twins don't have to have matching names.
