Blagh..... I need some water to wash the bad taste out of my mouth.

This is how a Croatian non-English speaker would phonetically spell fight.

I would have liked it in a totally guilty-pleasure way if it had been Fate. But Fayt? Not my style really.

If there's anything I dislike more than a misspelled name, it's a misspelled word for a name. :/It also makes me think of Fayth from FFX.

Pronounced like Fight or like Fete, which should have a circumflex? Either way, it seems like a baddish idea. Is their background English-speaking?

It's pronounced like Fate (not sure how Fete is pronounced). Yes, English speaking background.

Fete (still can't do circumflexes!) is from the same root as festival, and in English it's pronounced pretty much like Fate, but in French it's got a shorter e sound, more like the e in let.

I prefer Tate (for a boy) or Faith. Fayt seems overly trendy.

If it's supposed to be a creative spelling of the English word "fate," then I think it's godawful.
