[Games] Update
I have put the same request in every adoption game I have ever played. You are the first one to ever indulge me in it. Thank you sincerely. It means more than a simple game.
Hello, This is Shea reporting in on the status of Allegra and Indigo's settling in. They’ve been here three months now and have really been the light that was missing in the house. I’ve tried to limit my travels so I can be there more for my new family. Hopefully, in time, I can take them with me places, but I feel they should become adjusted to our home before I whisk them off to other parts of the world.Almost immediately, I noticed more smiles on Finn’s face so I could tell we were headed in the right direction. Finn doesn’t smile so easily without a good reason. She LOVES having another girl in the house. At first, she said she didn’t know how to relate to a girl going through puberty because she’d never been there herself, but a few days later she said it seemed she and Allegra were just going through the same things at different stages of life. She said she didn’t know if that made her just as naive as Allegra about the situations, but I told her it probably made her easier to talk to. I figure she can relate better having been there recently as opposed to a parent who hasn’t been there in decades. I hope I’m right, but really, I have no idea. That in itself is kind of terrifying, but I think we‘re all handling it okay so far.Finn took her shopping for some clothes for the summer and to just to give them time together. I figure that once I find out a bit more about what clothing she prefers, I’ll make her a few pieces in my next line. Until then, I just ordered her a few track jerseys in colours she seems to buy a lot of. I go running every morning and I started to offer to let her go running with me only a few days after she’d arrived, but she didn’t take me up on the offer until just this past Tuesday. That’s when I knew it was time to write to you and tell you how well she had settled. It seemed like a milestone.Indigo is a bit harder to read. As suspected, Finn got there first. All she had to do was find out Indie likes music and she lead the boy down to the basement where we keep guitars and a piano. Fionán’s father plays piano for a professional theatre and so, we’re considering getting Indigo lessons with him if he wants them. Fionán and I both play guitar as well, though neither of us are good enough to play professionally, she has still mentioned perhaps teaching him guitar if he prefers. Until then, Fionán will fill his head with entirely too much Beatles information and songs on old vinyls. He talks more to Allegra than to us and many of the things we learn about him come from her. She pointed out Venus in the sky one time, but then told us that Indie showed her the planet. He’s so much more open to her than to us, but we’re hoping in time we can build trust and over time he‘ll be more open with us as well. He has a really sweet spirit though and seems to enjoy spending time with the cat Percy (who seems to enjoy his time watching Finn‘s aquarium.). He grins and plays with Briar when he think we aren't paying attention. It's quite enduring. We’ve made plans to go see their great aunt again this weekend. They’ve visited her a few times already and we’ve enjoyed getting to know her as well. We want her to feel like she can trust us and feel comfortable with Allegra and Indigo being with us.We really want to thank the agency for placing them both with us. They’ve been a joy and blessing to our family.
