I don't really like it, imo it looks like David with a typo. I know a Davan, which I think is worse especially since it's on a girl (her full name is Davan Mae Elizabeth)

Davin & Vanna?

I like Vanna too, but I feel that Davin and Vanna are too close for siblings. I know a Vanna though :) Maybe Avanna or something?

Davin and Vanna are much too similar for my ears, sorry.

CORNYIt sounds like parents who are uneducated trying to be fancy or trendy w/ their names.

pardon me?Is that a personal insult? It just seems like a very odd comment to make and I find it offensive. Naming styles and trends are ok to disagree with but to personally talk about someone and how their intellegence relates to their naming is wrong in my book.

Sorry if it was offensive, but the 2 TOGETHER look tacky even if on their own they might be ok. It's a matter of opinion and I was expressing the impression that some people might get. Just because people would get that impression about the parents from the names doesn't mean their impression about the parents would be correct. It's just the impression that could easily be taken if the person just looking at the names had no other info to go by. Davin's def. trendy-looking in style and Vanna's very Wheel-of-Fortune among many in N. Am'n culture, so even though Vanna White is a very beautiful woman, the game show association could make people automatically assume that a little Vanna in many cases was named after someone on a game-show since there aren't a lot of little Vannas running around. Thus, it's the combo that would give the impression of trying to be trendy and maybe either unable to spell the name they want for a boy right or being undecided between Devin and David and going w/ something in between plus maybe being couch potatoes sitting around watching game shows and making those on the shows their role models...
Whereas the parents could be very dif. than that and just like the names... However, they don't sound right together either. The prn. of them as a set is the part that's most unappealing.

I don't care for Davin, when authentic Devin is available. Besides, I prefer the "dev" sound to "dav."

I used to work with a Davin. Most people mispronounced his name Devin.

I know it's been around some years 'cause my friend's sister is married to a Davin, but it still seems a tad on the trendy side to me. It's also likely to get mixed up w/ Devin, David, etc. Just looks like someone spelled Devin wrong or made a typo when trying to put in David.
