[Opinions] August
Okay, so August is probably my top boy name right now, but I need some opinions. First of all, what do you all think of August in general? Also, I like the nickname 'Gus' on occasion, but I think I would still prefer to call him August most of the time... Do you think that would work?
Sorry if that was a little confusing! Thank you!

I love August! It's my favorite name for a boy. I don't think it needs a nickname. In fact, August is such a great name that I think any nickname would ruin it.
I love the name August but I don't like the nn Gus which is the reason I usually put August as a mn in combos. If I ever had to use it as a fn, I'd use the nn Gusto but only sometimes. I love August as a whole name though, I think it's so handsome. =)
I really like August as a name and Gus would make a nice occasional nn. It's quite a strong, handsome name too, which appeals to me.
My favorite boy name!
This is my favorite boy name, and what we were going to name Rosy is she was a boy. I adore it. And Gus is so stinking cute! It's a perfect name to me, A++++. We are using August Alexander for our future son.

I like it a lot. I prefer Augie as a nickname, though.
I love August for both a boy and girl. Gus works as a logical nn, but I don't care for it myself.
August is a great name, but I don't care for Gus. I think it's fine without a nickname.
I like it. I have a good association too with an August I knew who was a nice guy. Gus is OK but I don't think August really needs to be shortened.
I knew twins born in August- one was August and one was named Leo!

Haha, twins named August & Leo, born in August, is actually really cute!
I love the name August. For some, I guess it might not seem informal enough for everyday use. But I'd be happy to use the whole name, with no nn.
Gus isn't bad a bad nn, if one is needed.
