[Opinions] Annemarie
As in Anne + Marie, not the way it's listed in the database. I've thought about it a couple of times in the past, thinking it was nice and fresh feeling. Then I realized today that it's a name I should seriously consider. Anne is my second favorite girl's name, and Marie is the middle name of both my husband's mother and grandmother. I am severely lacking in names to honor that side of my husband's family, which is important since we're close to them.
What do you think of it? Would you rather see Anne-Marie or Anne Marie instead? The combo I would use would be Annemarie Frances, and I would still use Nan as the main nn. I also think I like it better with our last name than just Anne (pretend our last name is Roland, because it's really close to that). Which name do you like better with our last name?

Thanks!
I'm glad it's so well-received! I'll have to mull it over for awhile and it might replace Anne on my list. :)

I've always liked Annemarie alot. Very pretty and feminine.
love!
I much prefer the altogether Annemarie. It seems more poetic than Anne Marie or Anne-Marie.
I also occasionally consider Annemarie (as well as Anna Maria) as a way to try to honour a Mary Anne and a Mariana together in one go while still giving a child their own name.
Annemarie Frances Roland is gorgeous beyond compare. So gentle and wistful-sounding and looking. It makes me think of a lady novelist or poet that writes gently but bravely, like Emily Dickinson. There is such a delicate faded beauty about it.

To me it is very dated since I haven't mer anyone named Annemarie younger than 60. I do like Anne and Marie though, but not together. Annemarie (I prefer this spelling) sounds better with Roland than Anne.
I think Annemarie Frances is great, and I do think Annemarie goes better with your last name than Anne. I like just Anne a lot too, but I think it's a little repetitive with your last name - ANNE rolANd. Annemarie Roland breaks up the sounds better so it's not noticeable, at least IMO. :D
I find Annemarie neater and tidier than Anne-Marie, and less open to misunderstanding than Anne Marie, which looks like fn Anne, mn Marie. My niece is Louanne, and it causes her no problems at all: in fact, she's Louanne Shirley, probably the youngest Shirley in captivity, and Annemarie Frances is much, much smarter and prettier than that! Go for it.
I don't really like the smushed together names usually but I do like Annemarie. I also like Anne Marie and Anna Maria. It's pretty common here for my generation but a lot of them go by nick names or just Anne. Annemarie Fances is great and I LOVE Nan.
I love Annemarie and only like it spelled/written this way.
Annemarie Frances is a beautiful combo.
I think Anne Roland flows a little better, but Annemarie Roland is fine as well.
