Sorry, but the "XEH" sound still isn't making much sense to me... is the X said like a Zzz sound, or an "Eks" sound, or something else?

Sorry, I tried to pronounce it but it didn;t make any sense to me too...
How about "poly-KSE-nee"?

Ok, I think I get it. I think my professor was pronouncing it like that - or trying to, anyways! :)
