I like Alden! It's not one of my absolute favorites, but it's nice. I think the meaning "old friend" is mainly the reason I like it.

Sounds like a name that would be fun to put a foreign accent on. I kind of like it, but not enough to use because the "Al" part sounds kind of nerdy in a stuffy way to me. (which amuses me a bit)
