[Opinions] Alianore
I found the girls name Alianore while researching some of my medieval ancestors. I assume it's prn "Uh-lee-uh-nore" but I could be wrong. I think it's so pretty though! How cute would it be to have a little girl named Alianore with nicknames like "Alia", "Allie", "Lia", and "Nora"? :) I think Alianora would also be really cute!Wdyt of Alianore?

I prefer the original Aliénor, but Alianor(e) is nice. It's more interesting the Eleanor.

I like it. I think I've seen Alienor before. I do like the nn opprotunities... It does look like 'alien' though :P
I'd assume it was AH-lee-uh-nor or AL-ee-uh-nor.

I think it's lovely, but only spelt Alienor or Alienore.

It's pretty, but I think it would be confused with Eleanor.

cute? not really... not so appealing. Maybe there were reasons that 1 wasn't passed on down the line.

The way it looks reminds me of "alien."I know it isn't *exactly* the same, but it's close. Personally, I prefer Elinor.

I agree! While it is a gorgeous name, I can only see ALIEN. Elinor or Eléonore / Eleanore if you like the -e ending would be miles better in my opinion.

I liked the sound of it and all that, but when I read your comment I realized I completely agree! Maybe it would be better as a mn...

I want to like it because I love Eleanor, but Alianore just looks like Alienate and Ignore mashed together.

I think it's gorgeous! Seems like an original variant spelling of Eleanor (which is itself a variant spelling if I remember correctly). Looking at it I'm inclined to pronounce it either as "AY-lee-uh-nore" or "AL-lee-uh-nore (like the A in apple)", but I think pronunciations would be pretty divided. I like Alianora even more, but names ending in R have a tendency to strike me as abrupt, so that's probably just my own bias sinking in.

According to BtN Eleanor is derived from Aliénor, so Alianore is very likely to be a variant of that.
