[Opinions] Eugenia
What is your impression of this name? I heard it last night, and I love it. It's regal and lovely.Any good middle name suggestions? All I can think of is Eugenia Victoria from Gone With The Wind .

I love it and it is a family name for me by way of a tragedy. My great-great-grandparent's friend, Eugene died right before their wedding in a car accident. My great-grandma was named Catherine Eugenia to honor him and she passed it along to my grandma, Patricia Eugenia. My grandma hated the name Eugenia and refused to pass it along to my aunt Laura. I would consider using it as a middle name, but I think my family would probably hate it.

It's been growing on me recently, it's elegant and sophisticated, I think I'd potentially use it.

Love! It is very regal and lovely, but to me it also is very kind and motherly. She bakes good cookies, too.Not sure I've played around with Eugenia as much as Eugenie, but let's see...
Eugenia Marjorie is the only combo I currently have. I'll try going for both regal and domestic combos. :)Eugenia Beatrice
Eugenia Bridget

Eugenia Florence
Eugenia Greer - this is more quirky

That's funny that you thought of Eugenia Eppy. I almost suggested Eugenia Effie. I think Euphemia is trying to tell us something.Terrific list. Is Eugenia Bonnie a nod to GWTW?

DudeI almost said Eugenia Effie, too, but Eugenia and Euphemia/Effie have just about the exact image/feeling for me. It felt redundant to pair them!Eugenia Bonnie is not from GWTW. Or maybe it is, for all I know. I *duck* have never read or seen it. But it's like second on my list of books to read!

Oh. Isn't Eppy from Euphemia as well? Sorry. And I won't spoil why Eugenia Bonnie is so image-rich if you haven't read / seen GWTW.

YesIt is, but since Eppy is a name I've only recently discovered, I don't automatically put it with Euphemia or get that same feel from it. Effie is a nickname that feels exactly the same as the full name.Oh, I'm excited now to learn why Eugenia Bonnie is extra awesome! I hope to go to the library today, actually, so I'll have to get that book. :)

I've never thought of it in a regal way, but now I'm warming up to the image. But it is certainly lovely. :)Eugenia Nimue
Eugenia Melisande (I tried this with a name that was not regal, so I'm going to try it with a name that is.)
Eugenia Camilla
Eugenia Hope
Eugenia GwendolynI'm not in the mood to make combos, so that's all I have. :/

Regal and lovely -- the perfect adjectives for Eugenia. It's a buried treasure of a name. I met a young Eugenia once that used Genia as a nn. It always stuck with me. Eugenia Catherine (VP Biden's mother)
