Well, The Color Purple is the only place I've seen Celie, so that's probably the first thing I'd think of.
I prefer Celie as a nn for something. I'd like it as a nn for Cecile. If it was just a choice between Celie and Cecile as full names, I'd opt for Cecile.
Celie Jane is the first combo I thought of.
