Ariadne is the name of my Grandpa's house...He lives in Cyprus. I've always loved it :D

I just saw the movie last night! :) I was so very excited that her character was named Ariadne!!

Hah, I just saw the movie a few hours ago, and when they first introduced her character I silently cheered for a moment about her having such a cool name! And then I was going to post about it on BtN... but you beat me to it! :D

I used to love Ariadne a long time ago, but it fell off my list. But after hearing it used in the movie, I'm warming to it again. IT's definitely a neat name.

I've always pronounced it "are-ee-AHD-nay." I personally think it sounds better than "ari-AD-nee." I know someone with that name, and they always pronounce it with the "ay" sound at the end.

I had a friend in college with this name. She pronounced it Air-ee-ah-dnee. But she went by Ari.

Nay? That is annoying haha. Hopefully it doesn't start a trend of babies named that using that pronunciation. I love Ariadne. I was just discussing that name last night in fact! I have only met one Ariadne in my life and it definitely solidified the names coolness to me. In a somewhat unrelated matter, I can't wait to see that movie.

Ariadne is rahter pretty...I much prefer it to Arianne and Ariana / Arianna.

I haven't seen it but will I still like the name after I do? I do so love the name..

It's very pretty, but it reminds me too much of a character in The King Must Die, which was an awful book.
