It has been five years since Robin moved into the Davis family. She was only supposed to stay for one year, but ended up finding peace in the little town where her aunt and uncle live. Unfortunately for the Davises, Jesse's father, Merrill, died after years of sickness and pain. Jesse and Susannah wanted to honor him in some way, but Jesse's father would be very upset if they used a weird spelling. So, the entire family decided on Marilyn.
