[Games] KUY Royal Congrats ▓▒░ Round 3 ░▒▓
I've wanted to start a Royal Congrats again, but haven't had the time to keep track of all of the information. So, I've decided to do a KUY Royal Congrats. Anybody is welcome to join in at any time (To join, start at Round 1 and work your way to the current round). I'll provide links to all previous rounds. Enjoy :-)
Round 1: http://www.behindthename.com/bb/view.php?id=3880239&board=game
Round 2: http://www.behindthename.com/bb/view.php?id=3880808&board=game
Rules for Round 3:
~ DPrince2: His FN means "strength" in some way, and his MN has a holy meaning or means "angel". All other names are are your choice.
~ DPrincess3/4: The Princesses have a subtle theme-related FN (both names can share the same meaning, be flowers, or be from the same mythology, etc. - They should NOT rhyme or start with the same first letter to be considered a theme). They have at least 2 MNs. All MNs must come from the namebank below.
Writing Prompt: I will assume a patriarchy in my writing prompts. Feel free to adjust to your story line to whatever is appropriate for your Kingdom.
Shortly after the birth of Princess1, the Queen found out that she was pregnant again. Unfortunately, the pregnancy was very hard and the birthing even harder. The Queen was greatly weakened, and the little Prince was born extremely frail. The doctors told the Royal couple that the boy wouldn't survive a week. True enough, the little Prince died a short time after birth.
The Queen gained strength slowly, and a few years later she was pregnant again. Once again, the pregnancy was hard and drained the Queen greatly. This time she gave birth to healthy twin Princesses. While the Royal family was overjoyed that the Queen was okay after the hard pregnancy, and that the twins were born healthy. However, the Kingdom is afraid that the line might never see a healthy, legitimate Prince (which is necessary for both Kingdoms and Queendoms - even if only for ceremonial reasons).
How does the King feel about the loss of his son and the healthy birth of his daughters?
Does the King expect his wife to continue to try and have children?
How is the Queen feeling after losing a son and two hard pregnancies?
What does the Kingdom feel about these events and the lack of a legitimate prince?
Does anybody (Royal Family, Kingdom, etc.) want to see the Illegitimate Prince made legitimate?

Princess Cecilia was not even four months old when Queen Elizabeth conceived yet again. No one was more overjoyed than King William, and while he was completely besotted with his baby daughter, he longed for a son and heir.
The customary celebration for the queen's pregnancy had to be put on hold, however, as almost immediately after the announcement, William departed for the northern fishing province of Erion, where raiders were terrorizing local villagers. Along with Elizabeth's father Charles, the emperor of Andras, William was in command of an army tasked with ridding the kingdom of the barbarian scourge.
The stress of having her husband away in battle and a young infant to care for weighed greatly on Elizabeth, and her pregnancy suffered as a result. Things only worsened when news came that William had been injured. The queen went into premature labor when she heard this, giving birth to the hoped-for son -- two months too soon. She chose for him the name Gabriel, hoping that his namesake would give him the strength to survive. Alas, the child did not even live long enough to meet his father; William returned to Arkavia five days after Gabriel died.
The entire kingdom entered into a period of mourning. For weeks, the queen shut herself away in her room, refusing even to see her young daughter. William threw himself into his work, also locking himself away from the world while his children were left in the care of governesses. Finally, the king's ministers brought him out of his great depression, explaining that without a strong leader at the helm, Arkavia -- the country his father had given his life for -- would surely descend into anarchy.

The marriage was sudden, the product of a hasty peace treaty between the Kingdom of Solandra, from which the Queen hails, and the King's home, Valhurst. The marriage is one of duty, although the king and queen had a quite civil relationship before the war broke between their kingdoms. The hopes of peace between the kingdoms rest in the hands of their royalties, and if they can unite, the joint kingdom will be the most powerful ever known.
With the welcoming of the new Princess, the King and Queen share only a short-lived, though song-filled, joy. The news reaches the King not three weeks after young Lorelei is born that a brief relationship one summer with a minor Lady in the country has resulted in an illegitimate son.

Queen Sarah met David in a Bar in London, he was not a royal. And it was love at first sight! Their only wish is to have a baby (or better a footballteam). David absolutely loves football ;) The general state of the kingdom is very peaceful and the Royal House of Esterbank is really in vogue.
Three years after their first get-together, Sarah and David finally welcomed their first daughter! And her big brother (his mother died on lung cancer and was an ex-friend of David, but she kept quite that they have a son) is so proud of her. Sarah and David are very caring and she loves her little prince like a son. The public is very delighted with the two new kids and that they attend so lovely to Jack.
Shortly after Marleys day of birth, a further pregnancy astonishes the queen, but her son died only afew days after his birth. They all were very sad to let him go. But now they are happy to welcome two new family members after a very hard pregnancy, twin sisters of Jack, Marley and Jack. They would like to have more kids, but from the beginnig it was clear that Jack will be the King one day and all are happy with it, Jack is a really careful, strong and proud little boy.

A great blessing has been bestowed upon the Queendom of Quadrille! The Queen has given birth to twin princesses! After the death of Prince Valerius three years ago, the Queendom has cause to celebrate once more!
The Queen and King know that they must have a son, as the absence of a Prince in Quadrille is usually considered an invitation to invasion by neighboring patriarchal societies. The Queendom is still recovering from the war with Forestmere, and therefore cannot afford another war. Furthermore, a Prince is needed to create alliances in Quadrille; Princesses generally stay within the Queendom, usually becoming Duchesses and keeping order within. However, Queen Margaret has never been of a strong constitution and the entire Queendom is worried she will not be able to bear anymore children.
On top of all this, there have been rumors in the far reaches of the still-newly-annexed county of Forestmere that the Earl of Forestmere should be put on the throne, replacing the matriarchal Queendom in Quadrille with a Forestmerite King.

The loss of the baby prince was devastating to both parents, and worrisome to the King, as his daughters are not able to inherit the throne. The birth of their daughters was comforting to Benjamin and Vittoria, as it proved she could still bear healthy children, and they love the new princesses as much as any child. It also took some of the pain from losing their son away. The King and Queen both want to keep trying to have children. The Kingdom's laws, however, are clear when they say no child born of unmarried parents shall become King.

After Gabriels birth Edmund was very happy, even though his wife was very weak and her health was not very good. While Mary got slowly better, Gabriel was so weak that he died only a week after his birth. This was a huge blow for the King, who had hoped that Gabriel would become his heir. When 3 years later his wife gave birth to two healthy daughters, he was happy that Mary was still able to have children, but he was disappointed that it was not a son. Though he does not want to risk the life of his wife, he still wants to have more children with her and, hopefully, a healthy son. The Queen herself was very sad that she was not able to give her husband a future Monarch.
Many people said that the Queen is cursed by God, because Edmund was able to have a healthy son (Albert) but Mary could not give him any. This rumour hit the Queen very hard, but she does not want to give up because she is afraid that Albert, who is now 7 years old, might still become the future King.

Shortly after the arrivals of Aria and Jeremy, Queen Rikku discovered she was pregnant again. When she and King Gippal were told that their new baby boy, Jarek Callum Henry, would not live, they were devastated, not because they had yet to produce a legitimate prince, but simply because they had lost a child.
Rikku wanted to try to have another child immediately, despite her weakened state, but was convinced to wait by her husband.
After three years, Rikku discovered that she was pregnant again. When Thalia Aimee Rose & Melia Cecilia Violet were born, the king was just happy that his wife and children had all survived the ordeal.
Though he longs to have a son with Rikku, he loves his daughters and his son Jeremy very much and it would not matter too much to him if they only ever had daughters (Especially considering the males born on Rikku's side of the family).
Queen Rikku is very troubled by how weakened she becomes after childbirth. She knows something may be wrong and while she wants nothing more than a large family, she is worried that her babies will no longer survive.
The people of the Kingdom of Soleil are worried about their queen. They know that the King and Queen will pick the most suitable heir out of all their children when the time comes (which is how the kingdom has been since it began) so they have yet to worry too much.

Shortly after Alouette's birth, Queen Ysabel conceived again. Unlike her first pregnancy, this one was difficult. She was often sick and couldn't keep down much beside weak broth. She went into labor a month early, and gave birth to a very small, very weak son.
The king named him Armel - "stone prince" - hoping to instill some strength in his first legitimate son, but the doctors warned him that the prince would not survive long. Sure enough, just three days after his birth, Prince Armel passed away.
Ysabel was devastated and all but locked herself in her chamber, refusing to see anyone but her daughter, who was only a year old and didn't understand why her mother never seemed to stop crying. The king said very little regarding the death of his son, but it was obvious to those around him that it had been a serious blow to his happiness.
In time, the queen regained both her physical and mental strength. King Frederic didn't want to push her, but he was anxious to have a legitimate heir to the throne. Ysabel understood that part of her duty as queen was to provide the kingdom with an heir, though she was afraid to go through the pain of losing another child.
The queen did become pregnant again, and this pregnancy seemed almost rougher than the previous one. She was confined to bed most of the pregnancy. Alouette stayed stubbornly with her mother, and the chubby little toddler brought many smiles to the sick queen's face.
Halfway through the pregnancy, the doctors measured her and told the king and queen that the queen's weakness this pregnancy was likely due to the fact that she was carrying twins. Sure enough, months later the queen delivered two healthy twin girls - Estelle and Oceane. The delivery, however, took a lot out of the already weak queen, and she found herself bedridden even after the twins were born.

(The Princesses' FN share the theme of Shakespearean characters - Ofelia/Ophelia from Hamlet, Adriana from The Comedy of Errors.)
Shortly after the birth of Infanta Aida, Doña Aspasia was again found pregnant, this time with a son. The people of Solandra rejoiced, but the royal family even more so. Young Vasco, now a permanent resident of the palace, was excited that he might have a brother to play with. Unfortunately, complications occurred during the pregnancy. The son was born premature and very weak, and the royal physicians declared him having only a few days' time to live. And it was true, for the young prince died barely a week after birth. His burial was the first time his name was given: Principe Sendoa Gabriel Rodrigo Saturnino de Ramal y Alilandano, or Infante Sendo.
Don Carmelo, and especially Doña Aspasia, grieved greatly. It was rumoured that the queen, too, might soon die. But instead, word spread that the queen was pregnant again. Months passed, and indeed Doña Aspasia was found to be carrying twin daughters.
After a long and exhausting birth process, the royal family welcomed the twin girls, Princesa Ofelia Caterina Genoveva Daphne (Infanta Ofelia) and Princesa Adriana Leonor Mirelle Adrastia (Infanta Ana). The girls were born well and healthy, much to the kingdom's relief.
Still, though, the search for a legitimate male heir continues. There has been pressure on the king to make Vasco da Tavullia his heir, and as much as Don Carmelo wants to, there are other factions still which threatened with revolt if he should choose to do so. The plight was not quite solved, but instead ignored, as the royal family struggled to get themselves a Crown Prince by one means or another.

Round 1:
Humphrey knew from the time he was a small child that he would be King one day, and maybe soon. His mother died from the childbirth, and that was after many unsuccessful pregnancies. His father suffered a disease that left him severely weakened when he was just 2 years old. His father was partially paralyzed, and slowly lost more and more function as time went on. However, he retained his sharp mind right up until the end. Humphrey wasn't betrothed, because his father knew that he was going to have enough responsibility, and wanted to provide at least a chance at love and happiness. Just 2 months after his 18th birthday, the old King just never woke from his nights sleep. Humphrey was crowned, and his advisors urged him to seek a wife.
Humphrey, knowing that it was his duty, held a month of banquets to meet all of the eligible Ladies, Duchesses, Princesses and other nobles that his advisors wanted him to marry. Aenor came with her older sister, the Duchesses of Cerise, as a companion. However, Humphrey found Aenor's gentle wit and sparkling eyes unforgettable. He arranged to met Aenor in one of the palace gardens, and there asked her to be his wife and Queen of Cotswold. Overwhelmed, Aenor said that she would need to think on it.
However, when Aenor found her way back to her room, she also found her sister. Her sister was furious, and accused her of stealing the King from her. This put steel in Aenor's back, who knew that she didn't do any such thing. Deciding in that instant the she was fond of the King and thought that she had a good chance at happiness, she stormed out of her room and went to find the Humphrey and let him know.

When little Cleisthenes was born a frail child, Aloysius took it harshly. He had always dreamed of having a young son who was happy and had a healthy glow. As Cleisthenes faded, Aloysius grew angry. He took it out on everyone he met. Afterward, he was greatly ashamed and asked everyone's forgiveness, which he was gladly given. Everyone understood how he could be angry, for they, too, would have been greatly enraged if their son had died before the week was out.
Esther was very weak from the birthing of her frail son. She mourned to see him go, and this didn't help in her recuperation. There were times when Aloysius thought she, too, would be lost.
On the two-year anniversary of Cleisthenes death, Mavourneen Penelope Lucasta Matilda and Mignon Serafina Xylia Camille were born. Both were darling and reminded Esther and Aloysius of their darling son who was lost. They gave them both names with a meaning of "darling," for that is truly what they are: darlings.
When Mavy and Miggie came into the world healthily and glowingly, Aloysius was a little outraged that his only son (as of yet) had been born too frail to last a week. A single glance at Mavy and Miggie reminded him of his Cleisthenes. As the days have been passing, Aloysius has become quite attached to his darling daughters--all of them: Lark, Mavy, and Miggie. Still, he would like to have a son to watch bloom. He is urging Queen Esther to try for more. She is willing, but she must recuperate after her two hard pregnancies--especially the twins--and after losing her darling son.

Merely a year after the birth of Princess Lullaby, Queen Cosima delivered a son, Prince Nero, though regrettably, he passed away shortly after his birth. The Kingdom was devastated, and the royal family mourned quietly.
Some tabloids made comments about the potential of there not being a male heir to the monarchy, but most people are not worried-- Dei and Cosima are still quite young and have plenty of time to have an heir. But there's always gossip about a potential change-of-rules to allow Jocelyn to be king.
Cosima found herself pregnant again just after Princess Lullaby's second birthday, and she delivered twin daughters just before her elder daughter turned 3. The weather had been tumultuous almost entirely through her pregnancy, and she had become fascinated by watching storms, as she had been required by the doctor to stay off her feet. She ultimately decided to name her two daughters after the weather that she had grown to love-- Zephyrine and Stormily.

About six months after Princess Wren was born Queen Katherine found out she was expecting again! The pregnancy was difficult, but Miles was optomistic the entire time for a healthy baby. The Queen went into labor about two and a half weeks early, and the labor was long and difficult. By the time the baby was finally born, the doctors weren't sure whether either one of them would survive. Miles named the child Alcaeus Gabriel Edward, since Kate was indisposed. Doctors later told the couple that their son wouldn't live for very long. Four days after he was born, Prince Alcaeus died. The entire kingdom was saddened at his loss--no one moreso than King Miles, who was elated to have another son.
Three years after Prince Alcaeus' birth and death, Queen Katherine conceived again. The pregnancy was very hard on her, and King Miles grew worried that he might lose his wife this time. Fortunately, when the Queen went into labor, things moved quickly, and the royal family welcomed two new princesses! Princesses Sunniva Amalia Olympe Sabrine and Elanor Arcadia Morwenna Isolde were born healthy. The kingdom of Grenarbour rejoiced greatly! Now, after a month without incident, rumors are starting to fly that Queen Katherine doesn't want King Miles to have a male heir. She prevented him from naming Marquess Jurian a Prince, and her son, Prince Alcaeus didn't survive. Some speculate that the Arothan people are using Queen Katherine as a way to get at Grenarbour. King Miles doesn't believe the rumors, and he hasn't yet informed Queen Katherine about them. King Miles does want a son with Queen Katherine, but he also doesn't want to kill her--as the doctors have warned might happen if she gets pregnant again. Miles' latest tactic is to try and convince her that Marquess Jurian should be named Crown Prince. Kate will hear none of it.

Writing Prompt: Barely weeks after the birth of The Princess Royal, The Queen found herself pregnant again. This pregancy was difficult and the baby, a boy, was born prematurely. Sadly, the doctors made it clear that the new Crown Prince would not survive long. He was quickly baptised and died the day after he was born.
The death of this son affected the Royal couple deeply. It was also a matter of state, because Princess Cecily, despite being a healthy child, was the only person who could succeed her mother. Fears of Queen Sophia dying in childbirth made it clear that she had to overcome her grief and give the country a new heir.
Sophia and Frederick took strenght from each other and from Cecily and Axel (whom, after his mother's death, was loved by the queen as if he was her son). Shortly after Princess Cecily's second birthday, the Queen found herself pregnant again. She took extra precautions in this pregancy, and although nobody said it out loud, the whole kingdom was hoping she would safely deliver a son to secure the succession and the Crown. In the end, she gave birth to twin girls, named Laetitia and Beatrice - both names meaning "happiness".
While Sophia and Frederick are delighted with their small family, pressure from the outside forces them to try to have a boy. Frederick is worried about the health of his life and would prefer too see his daughter Cecily become Queen rather than risking Sophia die in childbirth. The Queen, however, is well aware of her responsibilities and decides it's her duty to try to have a son. She knows how difficult it his for her to be a female ruler, and would prefer to avoid instability and succesion wars in the Kingdom.

King: Louis Robert Gaspard Charlemagne (41)
-Late Queen: Terese Frantziska Adela
--D: Princess Anne Louisa Elisabeth Adelaide (14)
--D: Princess Therese Josephine Felicia Beatrice (12)
-Mistress: Lady Jeanne Antoinette de Launay
--S: Geoffrey Roland Louis, Duke of Illyria (6)
Queen: Isabella Clementina Rosalba Violetta (21)
-D: Princess Cecile Isabella Eleanore Mathilde (3)
-S:(deceased) Prince Gabriel Louis Clement Etienne
-D/D: Princess Gabrielle Aimee Clarissa Eloise/Princess Louise Emeline Ginevra Marguerite
Only three months after Cecile's birth, Isabella becomes pregnant again. The whole castle is abuzz with excitement, thinking that the heir is about to be born. However, the pregnancy is hard on Isabella, and she ends up giving birth two months early--the palace doctor states that she had conceived again too soon, and thus her body was not ready to handle the pregnancy. Her hellish labor produces a son--weak and sickly, but a son at last! Isabella names him Gabriel, meaning "strong man of God," and invokes St. Clement I and St. Stephen of Hungary, the patron saints of sick children and against the death of children respectively, in his two middle names in a desperate attempt to ensure his survival. Isabella and Louis have their son hastily baptized and keep a vigil at his cradle, but alas, Prince Gabriel only survives a week before passing on in his sleep.
Both Isabella and Louis are completely devastated--Isabella shuts herself in her apartments for days, refusing to speak to anyone but her closest ladies-in-waiting, and rebukes her husband's bed. Louis buries himself in meetings and royal duties, and in his wife's absence seeks the comfort of his newest mistress, Madame Françoise d'Aubigné, whose relationship with the king was somewhat of an open secret and who has established herself quite comfortably at court. Isabella despised her and the hypocrisy of it all. Her only comfort was her children--Anne and Therese put on little plays and recited poetry as an attempt to cheer her up, and knowing that little Cecile and Geoffrey needed their mama (as she now considered Geoffrey to be her own son--the poor little boy didn't ask to be put in such a position,) Isabella slowly but surely found the strength to leave her room and carry on with her life.

Both Ariston and Eloisa were devastated when they lost their first son only days after his birth. The king threw himself into his work, and, weakened from the difficult pregnancy and sick with grief, the queen was bedridden for months. Her only bright spot was baby Columba, barely a year old at the time and already beautiful and bright, and sweet little Nigel. The boy was still young but seemed to understand that the brother he'd been promised had gone away just like his real mother; Nigel spent all his time trying to make his "new mother" feel better, sitting with her and babbling away. Eloisa grew to love the affectionate boy and, as the family healed, found herself doting on him like he was her own.
Years after Valerius's death, the queen got pregnant once again. She was terrified of losing another child; Ariston feared for his wife's health as she was once again weakened by the strain of carrying his baby. Everyone was shocked and relieved that the pregnancy yielded two healthy, gorgeous daughters. Nigel adored all his baby sisters and loved being a big brother, especially when Columba followed him around like a duckling or he got to hold Artemisia or Demetria. His tutors all reported that his sisters were just about the only thing he wanted to talk about during lessons. Ariston and Eloisa were pleased with all their children but knew that they have to keep trying for a legitimate heir unless they want the throne to be in question upon Ariston's death; the kingdom could very easily fall into chaos.

The people are completely in love with Lavvie, the reason being that she is a total beauty. This has improved Rosa's position in their hearts as well. Everyone is determined not to care that there is no heir to the throne yet, and anger against Alexandre has taken a rise. Alyk is overjoyed that his people love his daughters but is bent on getting a son. Rosa has gained something of an attachment to Forestmere and Alyk, but still clings to her dream of going home. Very deep in her heart, she hopes that she never has a son and that Alyk sends her back to Jacarand and takes another wife.
