[Opinions] Edan for a boy
I know someone that just named their little boy Edan. What do you think of that?

sounds like they just tried to combine Eden and Ethan. Ethan's something I'm really tired of and don't really like and Eden should only be spelt Eden imo.

That "d" smack dab in the middle of the name makes my tongue trip up when I say it. Sounds like yet another "-aden" type name to add to the list. (or something very similar to it)

I knew a boy named Eden growing up. I don't think there is any reason to change the spelling. It looks more like it should be pronounced Eh-dahn instead of Ee-din.

no likeyEveryone thinks of Eden as a girls name. He might get teased and people will forever spell his name wrong.

I prefer Eden for a girl.

Edan is the name of a hip hop group I really like, so I like it. I think they pronounce it E-dan, though, not like Eden. Pronounced like Eden I'm not a huge fan; it just sounds like "eatin'" to me, never mind the biblical associations!

I know this spelling is technically correct for a boy, but it sounds just like Eden which I am only hearing on girls and sounds very feminine to me.

I agree. A friend of mine named her little girl Eden. It sounds lovely on a girl. :)

Seems like the spelling would make people confused.
