I will be having a trip from this Sunday to Wednesday, with possible little or no internet connexion, and might be missing any rounds during that time. Feel free to drop me by then, but if you choose not to, I promise I'll make up when I return circa Wednesday/Thursday.

In the Queendom of Thaeris
(Ezio and Arlet - not in namebanks, derived from Arlette - both mean "eagle". I admit I stole the names Desmond, Lucrezia, Ezio, and even, in a certain sense, Vanozza, from the games Assassin's Creed, but Ezio/Arlet is also a shout out to Vasco da Tavullia "The Eagle" from our previous Royal Congrats.)
Just after the period of mourning over Asenath's cousin Hebsibah was over, Hebsibah's tribe attacked Thaeris! The tribe, Ouddo, attacked Thaeris for protecting Hebsibah, who they had come to consider a traitor. At first, Asenath tried to reason with them, but once word got to her that her aunt and uncle, the leaders of Ouddo, had also been murdered and that the regime attacking Thaeris was the result of a coup d'etat, decided that there is no way but to resist.Leading the army of Thaeris was the High Priestess' Consort, Valen. Gathering the captains of the armies into an emergency meeting, Asenath concluded that the best way to defeat the irrational Ouddos is to form an alliance with the Strangers - the very ones the Ouddos despise to the core. With help from the Strangers and their powerful weapons, hopefully, the Ouddos will both learn to fear and respect the Strangers and Thaeris. The Consort Valen decided to lead the way to the Strangers' settlement outside the forests, citing his contact with them in the past and even his usage of a Stanger's name will pave the way for him.Weeks after his departure with a small group of warriors, Valen returned to Thaeris with a band of Strangers, carefully disguised as tribalmen. Valen, or Valentino, as the Strangers called him, have approached the same settlement from which his wife's cousin's husband was from and explained the situation. Upon hearing of Giovanni's fate, the Strangers' leader, Ezio, was visibly enraged, but Valen then diverted the talk to Ouddo's attack and the Strangers quickly agreed to help. Now that Ezio and several of the Strangers have returned with Valen to Thaeris, they were fascinated by the tribe's civilisation, and were more than pleased to find the High Priestess' children named with their names - Lucrezia, Giovanni, and Vanozza.Four long years of war raged between Thaeris, with the Strangers by their side, and Ouddo, with the other tribes which oppose the Strangers with them. Valen led the army with Ezio, very much his equal, and a strong comradeship formed between the two of them. Asenath kept the rest of Thaeris at bay, praying and beseeching to Sul'i almost every day. At last, a major battle is won, and Ouddo retreated, sorely defeated and stripped of their pride. Thaeris welcomed their heroes with jubilation, and long feasts commenced up to the Strangers' return to their settlement. Asenath was more than overjoyed to find her husband, and the children even more so.Soon, it was discovered that Asenath was pregnant for the fifth time. Thaeris was once again torn between gladness and fear. Asenath soon began relapsing into poor health. One month earlier than expected, the High Priestess gave birth to twins, one Sul'i'mi and one Sul'i'ah. The twins started off weak and frail, especially for the daughter. The Sul'i'ah was named Arlet, with her second name Hebsibah, in honour of Asenath's late cousin, while the Valen proposed that the Sul'i'mi be named Ezio after Thaeris' new hero and his own close friend. Asenath could not agree more, and the two decided that if everything is at peace and the twins should recover quickly, they shall together pay a visit to their newfound allies.
