In the Empire of Labyrinth
After the Royal family was attacked, most things seemed to go wrong. When Prince Conrad sustained injuries for trying to protect his sisters. The Empress was distressed that there was no guards to protect them, while Emperor Finnian and herself were so surrounded that the assassin was unable to get close.
This had been the beginning of the revolt. Emperor Finnian left with his troops to settle it all. It took four years for the battle to be won, and victory to seem assured. Emperor Finnian returned home, leaving the rest to his generals and nobles.
Meanwhile, Empress Mattie has been making sure that everything internal to Labyrinth has been running smoothly, while managing to take care of her 6 children.
When the Emperor returns home, it is no surprise that the Empress finds herself pregnant within weeks of Emperor Finnian's return. This pregnancy is very hard on Empress Mattie, she has close to no energy, and gains much weight.
Eight months later, their twin girls are born. They are named Zara Ingrid Emmanuelle Paz and Rayen Yuna Inez Emmeline, their first names both meaning flower. However, the little girls are tiny, and the Royal Family has been told that they may not survive.
