A Royal Tragedy
The Royal Family have been plagued by illness and death for so long now it's hard to remember a time when tragedy wasn't lurking behind every corner. The most recent of course was the death the beloved King Morgan Theodore James at just thirty nine, before that was the death of Princess Hope who didn't even survive a week. Now however the Empire has itself a new Queen. The feisty Queen Scarlett has recently married Lord Christophe Emile Henri, much to her great annoyance. A source inside the palace stated she could be heard stomping her foot at her mother, who is acting as regent until Scarlett comes of age, demanding to know why she needs a ring on her finger to be a successful ruler, though she would be more than happy to keep the 'boy', as she referred to him, around. The argument didn't last long however, Her Majesty Lillian walked away, apparently too weary for rows with quarrelsome teenage girls. The Empire is left wondering whether a fifteen year old is yet mature enough to hold such a title.
