Which is better? Also, what would you rate this name 1-10?

Annabel, and I'd rate it a 10. It's one of the few girls names I really like.

AnnabelAnnabelle is overly frilly... it's almost nauseating. I'd rate Annabel an 8. I like it.

AnnabelAnnabel sounds fun and energetic to me. Annabelle, outside France, sounds overdone and frilly. I'd give Annabel an 8.

Depends......on whether you would like to use the Scottish Annabel (from Amabel) or the French Annabelle (French-ized form of Annabel or Anna + Belle). Personally, I would use Annabel in the UK, Annabelle in France and pick one on "neutral" territory. My decision would then only depend on the combo I'd have in mind & the last name. I love both names and rate them 8.5.That was the long answer meaning both are legitimate names and I would use either one of them :)

AnnabelleIt's the same with Isabel/Isabelle, I prefer Isabelle. The names without the extra "le" just look incomplete to me for some reason. I absolutely love the name, I would give it a 10.

Annabel, definitely. 8.5

I'd rate Annabel much higher than Annabelle, unless for some strange reason I woke up one morning speaking French. Even then, it wasn't originally a French name ... I don't see the point of pretending it is, just as I don't see the point of tacking an extra -le on to Isabel in a vain quest for the exotic. Annabel has energy and enthusiasm, but Annabelle just flops around looking languid. I'd say an 8 for Annabel but a 2 at best for Annabelle, which is the kind of name I could imagine people giving to a bulldog or a bulldozer as a joke.

Annabel. 4/10.

Annabelle, because it looks complete while Annabel looks like it should be pronounced "an-AY-ble". Annabelle is at the top of my list with the nn Bella.

AnnabelleI used to think it was too imature and childish , but I'm warming up to it. It could work on the right grown up, so 7 out of 10 for me. It's very pretty:)

AnnabelleI like Annabel too, but my cousin is Annabelle Catherine, so that's what I'm used to. Annabelle just looks more complete to me.I rate it 9/10. Gorgeous name, either spelling. I love Amabel too.

Annabel seems more streamlined, less fussy and more classic. I'd give it an 8.

10! Classic, feminine, beautiful all around. (:Annabel. It's simpler, and I somehow think it's prettier almost. Lovely. :D Either way, it's a gorgeous choice!

I can't decide. I love how it sounds, but don't think it looks particularly good either way. On the one hand I strongly prefer Isabel over Isabelle, and this is similar, but Annabel looks sort of unfinished. I'd still rate it at about an 8, for the sound.

AnnabelI have a thing for not using extra letters, though. i think Annabelle looks unnecessarily fluffy, but that's just me!I love Annabel. I'd give it a 7.3
