Faustina mourned her son, Tildon, the morning the servants found his bed chambers empty. Fearing that he was kidnapped or worse, Adela summoned troops and spies across the empire in hopes of finding him or hearing of his disappearance. Two months later with no leads, Adela received a letter from a sea captain sailing the coast of Africa and the Mediterranean. “We have His Royal Highness, Prince Tildon of Cerise, aboard our ship at his own freewill and by his royal request and order has enlisted himself into the servitude of the Empirical Navy.” The family was relieved but quite angry at the young, foolish prince. When Crown Prince Hugo was two, Empress gave birth to another son without any complications. That morning, Prince Tildon surprised the empirical family with not only his presence and return home but also with a wife (born of royalty herself) and newborn son of his own.
