From the Royal House of Newbourne
In the Kingdom of Dunlin
A Royal Wedding and two new Princes! Surely, these are signs of prosperity to come in Dunlin!
After Prince Theodore was knighted, he traveled the world, searching for adventures. The whole country was shocked when they learned that Prince Theodore had been married – without Royal Permission! Apparently, Lady Julia was the daughter of a lesser lord in the country of Tamin. Although he knew better, and although they were both so young, Prince Theodore had fallen in love; he and Lady Julia were married within the month. It was when Lady Julia discovered she was pregnant that they decided to go back to Dunlin. Unfortunately, they couldn’t make it back before the babe was born. The young Royals had to stop at a roadside inn for about a month, as the traveling was too hard on Lady Julia. They named their son “Dunlin,” as that was their destination; however, they call him Christopher, after Prince Theodore’s father.
King Frederick wasn’t happy about his brother’s secret marriage, but he welcomed Prince Theodore, Lady Julia, and the young Prince Christopher with open arms. A few days later, Queen Amelia gave birth to another son! All of Dunlin is ecstatic that they have “an heir and a spare” to the throne, even the Sisters of Dunlin – the convent that former-Princess Catherine joined shortly after Princess Lucy’s fifteenth birthday. It seems as though, now that Princess Lucy is of marriageable age, former-Princess Catherine felt she could retire her title and join the Sisters. Thus, Princess Lucy has been given the additional title of Princess Royal, adding to her appeal as a bride.
