Sure. It's extremely tacky and low-class. It seems modern and unique, but it's going to sound silly years from now, it's just another fad, and on a grown man, ugh, I can just imagine how hard it will be for people to take him seriously. Plus, the only Tripp I know of is Sarah Palin's kid, and I wouldn't want that association personally.
It's not a name to me, it's a word. It's like naming a child Run, or Fall, or Walk, or Climb. I don't like the sound either, there are beautiful names out there, and then people go use Tripp?
Overall, I don't like it one bit.
